Who are Rahu and Ketu?
In Vedic astrology Rahu and Ketu are the lunar nodes, the points where the moon's path crosses the sun's apparent path. They are not physical planets, so they are called shadow planets. Tradition treats them as powerful influences that can bring sudden change.
What is Kalasarpa dosha?
Astrologers use the term Kalasarpa dosha when all the planets in a horoscope fall between Rahu and Ketu. Believers say this pattern can bring struggle and delay. Opinions differ widely, and many astrologers and families give it no weight at all.
Why Srikalahasti?
The temple is known as the Vayu Linga among the five elemental Shiva temples, and it has long been a centre for Rahu Ketu worship. Devotees believe the pooja performed here is especially effective, particularly during Rahu Kalam.
A balanced view
Treat the pooja as spiritual practice and a source of calm. It is not a substitute for practical effort, medical care or professional advice. For questions about your own horoscope, speak to a qualified priest or astrologer.
